I lived in Vernon for 2 years and remember buying corn and other produce here. The best one could ever eat. Good memories of this place.
One of the worst places to visit in entire tri-state area. 100s of visitors have experienced the rudeness of these old owners. I guess they must be going through a lot of difficulties. I suggest going to other farms, especially located on NY throughway area. Also, instead going to this farm, take your children to Heaven Hill Farms and have lots of fun. Plus, why pay $30 for apples.....go to Trader Joe's or Costco and buy Organic Apples....guaranteed safe as no chemicals or pesticides are used. All such farms will shut down in 5 to 10 years due to their poor services and attitude to other human beings. Many of these farmers have been exploiting illegal immigrants as well paying them peanuts for their hard work bringing shame to US farming.
Great egg sandwiches and farm fresh food. Apple picking is fun and kids like the tractor wagon rides up to the orchard. Good stop off the Appalachian Trail in Vernon Township.
I walked in and ordered a sandwich. Two meats, lettuce & tomato on a roll. Straightforward. I didn't have to wait long. The sandwich came to just under $7.00. I drove home, and unwrapped my sandwich. The roll was stale, and the tomato slices had an odd taste, as if they'd been sitting out too long. I threw away the tomato slices, and just ate the sandwich. I have choices as to where I buy a sandwich, and I'll choose to go elsewhere. A stale roll; tomatoes that taste as if they've turned; for just under $7.00 - really?
